Fourteen organizations have written to the New York State Legislature in support of requiring insurance coverage for PANS and PANDAS treatment. Together they represent more than 66,000 licensed practitioners in New York, alongside national patient advocacy organizations, clinicians and researchers from ten states.
The current bills are A9659A, sponsored by Assemblymember Michael Cashman and now in the Assembly Insurance Committee, and S10208, sponsored by Senator Pete Harckham and now in the Senate Insurance Committee. Several letters below were written earlier in the session and reference S2655A, the previous Senate companion bill, which was replaced by S10208 in May 2026. Every letter is published exactly as it was submitted.
